In a world of people who are all doing the same thing, it is really refreshing to find an artist like Lady Gaga.

Instead of conforming and trying to please people with her work, she does what she feels like doing and does not always expect people to understand her work. This kind of confidence is hard to come by; artists expect people to like what they do and they let the public dictate their music and persona. Lady Gaga does not let the public boss her around.

Many athletes have displeased some of their fans when they “unretire”. These athletes have been great players such as Brett Favre, Roger Clemens, and Allen Iverson.

Favre, who had a great career with the Green Bay Packers, announced his retirement after the 2007-08 season and even cried during his press conference. However, in August of 2008, he signed a contract to play for the New York Jets. This seriously shocked and angered Packer fans, since Favre was such an important player to them. This also showed how fake his crying was in his press conference. He retired from the Jets in 2009 and then later in the year signed with his current team, the Minnesota Vikings.

At Norwalk High School, empty, unsightly areas make up the courtyards of the school. The walls of the enclosed areas have not heard the noise of high school students in over four years and it seems as though it is going to stay that way for a while.

The courtyards have not been able to be used since NHS began their construction in the year 2006. “We should be able to use them if they’re there,” says Bianca Johnson (’12).

Many students had the same opinion when asked what they thought of the unused courtyards at the high school. “We should be able to utilize them and it’s a shame they’re so messy,” said Rachel Hamilton (’10). “They could at least look nice even if we can’t use them.”

When it comes down to it, there is only one question to ask; what kind of pants do you wear?

Most men do not take into consideration the style of pants they wear. What they do not realize though is that it can either make or break the look you are going for.

At Norwalk High School you can find a wide variety of pant flair. Some guys prefer skinny jeans. These are skin tight jeans that seem to barely allow any breathing room. There is a misconception about skinny jeans being too tight, when in actuality they are very comfortable. According to skinny jean wearers, they provide a relaxed fit with ample leg movement. So do not be quick to judge the next guy you see wearing pants that look a little too snug.

As I wander around this school occasionally my eyes glance downward at the ground. As they do this I cannot help but notice the amount of papers scattered across the ground. With a closer look I notice that they are almost all posters and or decorations that had previously been on the wall.

The average student probably gets more information about the events going on in the school from looking down at the ground, rather than looking up at the wall. We might as well give up on hanging up posters and just randomly scatter them across the floors.

To me it seems as though many students in Norwalk High School have a vendetta against anything hanging on the wall, as if those dastardly posters had killed their parents and these tortured souls have made it their mission to get revenge.
