Majority of girls at Norwalk High throw the names “hoe”, “slut”, and etc at each other. “It is foolish and it makes it okay for others to call them that too.” Amber Whitaker (’13) said.
Aisha Taylor (’13) believes that “If you calling it then your labeling yourself that you are. That is rude and disrespectful. Guys will get the wrong message by saying that.”
Susan Son (‘10) said “People are influenced by the media; they listen to a lot of music and watch reality shows. People could control what they say, but do not know how to talk before speaking.”
Each student is representing the school, and that reflects everyone. Mr. Laughton stated, “It is a sign of immaturity and disrespect. We are in school and it is not just teachers who find it distracting it is students also. Students should find a better way to express their feelings, and watch where they are when they speak, it is different when you are out of school.”
