Resource Centers

Resource centers have been known for helping students with work, but with all the chaos and mash ups, students never http://www.chemistry.nmsu.edu/Instrumentation/Dell570_NMRWorkstation.jpgseem to go somewhere to get work done. Recently it has been heard that the librarians were going to put new computers on the second floor of the library so students could have somewhere to go and do work, but that does not seem to be working out so well.

Hallways and staircases

While in the hallway, jam packed with people going left, right, up and down; you never seem to get to class on time. Teachers are always complaining how the students cannot get to class on time, but the teachers can go to the bathroom, talk to a staff member, and make it on time to class. Why is it impossible for students?

It stresses me out when students walk in front of me, and they stop and start talking to their friends, when I am trying to get to class, and when you tap them they get mad and start to argue and act rude. The thing is, they are not going anywhere so why even bother telling them to get out the way. They are talking to their friends, and not even paying attention to you.

Lunch Lines

Students at Norwalk High School feel that the lunch lines are longer this year. Students say it is because Academy of Information Technology and Engineering and Wright Tech kids came to the school because Wright Tech closed down and students from A.I.T.E decided to come here. Others say it is because the lunch ladies are “slow.”

Austin Roos (’10) explained, “All of a sudden, when I came back to school, the lunch lines were okay, but when the weeks passed by, the lunch lines were endless.”

Austin is not the only one that sees this as a difficult situation. Even though the lunch lines are fast at times, students still have trouble finding their way in and out.

“I am annoyed because you can’t get anything you want when you finally reach the food. It is gone because of all the kids. It’s like you have to push and shove and cut and argue your way to get the food you want before it’s gone.” Stated Shaun-Marie (’10) after arguing with a student in the same line for cutting.
