Hats: equal right for guys and girls

According to Missy Melfi, 7th of January, she was wearing a hat in school. She would walk past the security guards and they did not say nothing. She said that she was talking to security, when a guy pasted by with a hat and the security guard asked him to take it off. At the same time she was in front of the security guard and he had said nothing to her. Incidents like this have lead some students to believe there is a double standard at Norwalk high. It looks like Boys get busted for wearing hats more than girls do.

It’s sexist, it’s a rule meant to be enforced towards the entire student body as in every student in the school.” Said Christian Rivera (’11).

In the code of conduct it says “if one to be seen with a head covering the first time they are to be warned. The second time it is going to be confiscated."

The pact: A love story

The pact, is heart warming, heart felt love story that brings every emotion in the book out on the floor. Its a story that can be related to many. It is a story with conviction and passion. A story that has a message, the author, Jodi Picoult has poured her heart out in this book to engage the readers and help them feel what the characters Emily and Chris in the book are feeling.

The book touches an extremely difficult and touching topic, which provides much controversy. That being the reason why she needs her readers to be inside the book, instead of just reading it. The story is about teenage suicide and also underlines sexual abuse, teenage sex, depression, and family relationships.

N ervous, scared, and shaking is how the crowd feels when the Varsity volleyball team playsbecause they get so close to winning with their h ard work and han d

They are a team that is very similar to a family. The varsity volleyball team starts off the year with faith, heart, and ambition to improve and do better.

“We have improved ver y much, so far from last year, and we have been working hard.” Said the seniors in unison. The team practices for two hours and they enjoy spending time with each other and bonding. That is what gives the team great chemistry on the court.
