Blood Drive

Every year the National Honors Society recruits people to donate blood to the Red Cross. This November the Nation Honors society had another great success.

“It’s been a tradition here at Norwalk high, and has been for about twenty five years” said Mr Hariton, the head of Nation Honors Society.

“The blood drive is a great way to help others especially in our area because there is such a large shortage of blood,” Stated Jasmine Linares (‘10)

On November 30th, the Red Cross came to Norwalk High School gym. Anyone over the age of seventeen and in good health were eligible to donate blood. In comparison to the previous years explains Mr Hariton “This year was more successful because mostly seniors were eligible, there are about 350 seniors, 104 signed up, that’s about 1/3 of the senior class.” All participants could say that it was a great success, and the event will continue to come to Norwalk High.
